Who Does She Think She Is?

Blog Post

Way Past Friday Five

Well, better late than never. I usually get an e-mail about it, but for some reason, this time I didn’t.

1. Explain why you started to journal/blog.
I’m not sure. I was intrigued by the concept of it; of having a website that could have fresh new content more often than I was giving it just coding page changes.

2. Do people you interact with day to day or family members know about your journal/blog? Why or why not?
Most of them do. But most of them don’t care. I have one or two coworkers who read (and appear to enjoy) my journal. My brother pops in from time to time.

3. Do you have a theme for your journal/blog?
I did at first, but if you’ve been reading me any length of time at all, you’ll know that my blog usually goes through an identity crisis once a week. That’s why I decided to skin the site.

4. What direction would you like to have your journal/blog go in over the next year?
I’d like to develop better writing skills, which is one positive thing that’s come out of blogging. It forces me to think, to analyze. It also makes me more observant and aware of the world around me. Even the little things — especially the little things! I notice more now. Not that I blog about it, but I MIGHT blog about it, and that makes me notice, and remember, better.

As far as popularity is concerned, I’ve never been consumed with who is or is not visiting my blog. You won’t find hit counters here. Come or don’t come; either way, I’ll be writing as long as I care to.

5. Pimp five of your favorite journals/blogs.
a. Sugarmama
b. Held In Contempt
c. Captain Scott’s Electric Love Bunker
d. Because I Say So
e. Days Come and Days Go
