Monsters of the Gnjilani Group

Albanians in the Serbian southern town of Presevo, close to Kosovo, have again protested over the so-called Gnjilane group arrest. Serbian police, accompanied with TV cameras, have recently arrested 10 out of 17 terrorists from the UCK or Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), from the so-called Gnjilane Group. Gnjilane is a town in Kosovo. Out of the seven KLA terrorists still at large, 3 are in Gnjilane and Serbia is negotiating with UNMIK for them to be handed over to Serbian authorities, and the other 4 are somewhere abroad.

Yankee Go Home!

I am going to figure out a way to keep this post at the top until the Kosovo issue is resolved. And it won’t get resolved any time soon as long as America has its nose over there. Lest anyone forget, here’s what happened the last time we showed up:



And we need to stay out of the Middle East for that matter. (I’m sure I wouldn’t have to look very hard to find supporting video for that either.)

I will say that this video is a graphic depiction of the horror and devastation of war. You may see things there that make you sick. That repulse you. That make you want to cry. That’s all good. It shows that you are human. I cry every time I watch this video. And I feel ashamed to be a citizen of the country that had such a big part in it. But NEVER forget the images you see here and never forget what we did.

Oh, and comments? They’re closed on this post because really, I’m not interested in your opposing views on this. Look, read, take to heart; or ignore it, but keep your illusions to yourself.

A Picture’s Worth a Thousand Words?

Not if it’s a photo of a beheading or other war atrocity. I just don’t buy into the theory that you MUST VIEW such an image to comprehend its savagery. Anyone with a fundamental sense of decency knows that it’s just plain wrong.

I do not need to see photos of bodies piled sky high awaiting their turn in the ovens at Dachau, et al. or the unblinking eyes of Cambodian or Viet Namese children, bodies ravaged by effects of napalm, to comprehend that what happened to them is wrong. I don’t need to see photos of twisted metal and flesh to know that to get behind the wheel of a car impaired in ANY way is to ask for just such a disaster.

Is it just me?
